Help Your Child Fall in Love with Basketball — While Building Confidence That Lasts

Elite skill development for 4th–6th graders in a positive, high-energy environment kids love to be part of. Where kids leave smiling, sweating, and believing in themselves.

Too many programs take the joy out of the game

You want your child to succeed… But more importantly, you want them to enjoy the journey

When development is missing… confidence drops. And when confidence drops… so does the joy.

Because when kids feel confident, feel included, and feel like they’re improving…
They have more fun, try harder, and keep showing up

That’s where real growth—and real joy—comes from.

Give your child the gift of confidence, skills, and joy.

Founded by Slick Watts, Seattle Supersonics legend, and carried forward by his son Donald Watts Jr., a UW basketball icon, Watts Basketball is more than a training program—it’s a legacy of excellence.

We’re offering FREE trial classes for kids with basketball dreams

At Watts Basketball, we teach more than drills. We teach confidence, resilience, and the mindset of a true hooper—skills your child will carry for life.

most youth basketball focuses on games

But games don’t build skills.

Future Stars focuses on the part most players are missing:

Fundamentals.

When players build the right foundation early, their confidence and performance grow faster. Serious development doesn’t have to feel intense and stressful.
At Watts—it feels challenging, rewarding, and fun.

What Sets Watts Basketball Apart?

At Watts Basketball, development feels different. We’ve built a system where kids get better every person, feel supported and encouraged, and compete while having fun. Because when kids feel good, they play better.
And when they play better… they fall in love with the game.

COMMITMENT TO GROWTH

We believe that the journey to success begins with a commitment. We inspire our athletes to make a vow to themselves – a promise to strive for continual improvement. This foundational step sets the tone for their entire learning experience.

Whether it’s a challenging drill, a new assignment, or an unfamiliar activity, we encourage our kids to give their best effort. Effort is the key ingredient in any development process, and we ensure our young athletes understand the importance of giving their all, every single time.

After putting in their best effort, we teach kids to take a step back and honestly assess their performance. This is not about judgement or embarrassment. It’s about recognizing their progress and identifying areas for growth with an open mind and a positive attitude.

The final step involves planning for improvement. We guide our athletes in creating actionable plans that map out their development. This cycle of planning and reflection becomes a habit, ingraining the mindset of continuous growth and lifelong learning.
